The first thing we did after getting on board was the mandatory boat drill....
Cathy - "Hmmm..... what's going on onboard tonight?"
Jaime- "I wonder where I can get a vodka sour...."
Mom- "Or we could get one of those cool helmets of beer....."

Sunday was our day in Cozumel. Mom and I bought jewels at the store we remembered from last trip,
I knew I could find it. Cathy had a traumatic experience with the 'carnival fish' and we almost missed the ship bacause we
stayed a bit too late at Carlos and Charlies.
Monday we went horseback riding in Roatan, Honduras. It was fun even if we did just walk the whole
time. Parts of Roatan were really beautiful, basically once you got away from the port the island was gorgeous, it was like
night and day.
Wednesday "we be gone sna'klin' ", as Guy, one of our guides would say. We went on a snorkling
excursion with Coral Breeze. We made two snorkling stops at the 'coral gardens' and 'shark/ ray alley', and we ate lunch on
Caye Culker. Belize was really beautiful, if I was ever to move to the Carribean I would want to live in Belize.
Thursday saw us wasting away again in Margaritaville, Cancun. Margaritaville was pretty cool, food was good
if expensive. Cancun was very commercial, kinda like going to a really really big mall, but tropical. I wouldn't ever take
a trip just to go to Cancun, but it was ok and maybe if we had done a shore excursion or just gotten out of the port
area we might have enjoyed it more. Actually we had planned to snorkel, but the water was too rough for it to be any fun.
After some fruitless shopping and Margaritaville we had more drinks at Fat Tuesday's, which is right by the pier
( I had an 'attitube adjustment' sized Sex on the Beach which helped my headache), until time to get back on the ship. I also
found it odd that at such a popular cruise stop you had to tender in. It wasn't a fun tender, took forever.
Friday, our last day, was a day at sea. Mom and Cathy enjoyed the sunshine up on deck (aka Cathy
got fried) and I lazed around and watched movies in the room. I think they thought I was being kind of a party pooper, but
I had fun, killed my headache and got to sleeeeep and I hope they enjoyed their sitting in the sun without me whining
about being bored :op . Friday night after dinner and the end of the cruise show we went up to the disco, not a terribly
happening place, but they did have a bar. Actually I discovered that the only cute, single guy on the cruise had been hanging
out at the disco most of the time. (Hi Shawn, if you're reading this :o) ) That was a rather late night, and I think
we were all at least a bit hung over the next morning for disembarking and flying home, I know I was. So that was our cruise,
we got into Bradley late in the night and Cathy's husband, Ritchie, drove us home (mom and dad's house) and by Monday I was
back at work in VT.
