Belize

Belize was absolutely beautiful. I've heard the city is pretty ugly, but our tour left from a slip that was only 20 feet from our terminal so we missed seeing more than the immediate area around the terminal, maybe a good thing. What we did see of Belize was beautiful clean water, sugar fine sand, friendly people (and the weren't pushy like in Mexico) and good food. If you ever visit Belize I would highly recommend taking a tour with Coral Breeze. Guy, James and Heinni were really wonderful and very fun. Guy even taught us a little Creole. "We're going snorkelling" = "We be gan go Sna'klin' " ;op . Our tour brought us from Belize City to Caye (say 'Key') Caulker to pick up fins, then on to two snorkelling stops at 'coral gardens' and 'shark/ ray alley', and back to Caye caulker for lunch on them before returning to the cruise ship terminal. The food was excellent by the way. Cathy and Mom tried the Belikan beer, a local favorite, Cathy liked it, but mom thought it was too bitter.
